As part of my quest to spend time in all 100 NC counties, I stopped in Forest City for a late lunch and to catch up on some work. I tried the April flatbread with an ice cold Barq's root beer. It was SO good and filling. My server, Jamie, was fabulous! I even had a nice spot where I could charge my laptop but the city wifi was spotty. Will definitely come back!
Our family just move here 6 months ago and found this place last month. We went back 3 times in one week the food is great. Sweet potato waffle fries are dangerously delicious they are served with some kind of marmalade dip that I would love the recipe for lol
10/10 Recommend. Beautiful restaurant, friendly staff. Got our food & drinks pretty quick. My party of 4 loved it also, food came to our table piping hot. The mixed drinks were absolutely delicious & made to perfection! We all raved about it the whole evening. Spreading the word on this one! If you don't go then you're missing out!
We were down for a family reunion, this place was recommended to us. We were happy we went. It was busy and we still got seated right away. The food and environment was great. I got the Cajun chicken Alfredo, my wife got the Cesar salad, my daughter got the Mac and cheese kids meal. We all liked what we got. My Alfredo needed a little bit of salt but was still great. Chicken was tender to cut. The fries from the kids meal were easily the best French fries I've ever had.
I loved the place. The bar was clean, its was around lunch on a Thursday. It wasnt too cold either. Food came in decent amount of time, was hot and fresh. My gripes are that the sides offered, most only come after 4 pm and that the bathrooms were completely filthy. The urinal stations definitely needed to be mopped.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our meal! We did have to wait a unusual length of time before being greeted and taken to a table and then waited an overly long time for the food to come, but it was delicious. Our server was sweet and friendly too. To the mgmt: I looked around to speak to someone but couldn't find someone on my way out to bring this up... The ladies bathroom sink on the left side is scalding hot! It is literally billowing steam. When I turned on the faucet to wash my hands I actually let out a scream and jumped back. My hand was bright red for awhile. I can't imagine this not having already been reported, but just in case, I'm letting you know that it's a very real danger!
Such a wonderful experience. The pimento cheese fritters were excellent. I had the Mahi fish tacos and truly enjoyed them. I will most certainly go back. The waitress was courteous and friendly and service was prompt.
Service was on point. Potion sizes were generous. Fish tacos were a bit on the dry side, could have used more sauce.
